One Life to Live

Grades 3-7  |  1.5 hours

Students will explore biodiversity and the interconnectedness of life by comparing structures and behaviours of local animals and plants in different habitats and communities. Students will participate in hands on activities and use museum specimens to learn about adaptations and relationships.

Curriculum Links

  • Grade 4: compare structures and behaviours of local animals and plants in different habitats and communities.
  • Grade 6: analyse how different organisms adapt to their environments, kingdoms of life
  • Grade 7: analyse the roles of organisms as part of interconnected food webs, populations, communities, and ecosystems, assess survival needs and interactions between organisms and the environment
