The Beaty Biodiversity Museum New Director

We welcome Dr. Quentin Cronk as the new Director of the Beaty Biodiversity Museum!

Dr. Cronk has published over 140 papers on different aspects of botany, including island biology, plant conservation, plant systematics and evolution, molecular systematics and, more recently, plant evolutionary molecular genetics. He has travelled widely and described new species of plants from the Philippines and Indonesia. He has published several books including “The Endemic Flora of St Helena” (2000) and a book on the evolution of plant development “The Molecular Organography of Plants” (2009).

Dr. Quentin brings a compelling vision for the future of the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, and has a long attachment to the museum and its many activities.

The Beaty Museum thanks Dr. Rick Taylor for for his leadership and dedicated service as Director of the Beaty Biodiversity Museum in the last +5 years, and for all that he has done for the BBM museum and its community.
