Nocturnal: Emergent Behaviour

Join us for a truly unique evening of new music as we journey into spring!

Vancouver’s Tempest Flute Ensemble will present Emergent Behaviour: a series of compositions that respond to the museum’s permanent collections and our Skin & Bones exhibition.

This one hour concert features newly created works of music by Canadian composers Anna Höstman and Emilie LeBel, as well as recent pieces by James O’Callaghan and Jordan Nobles.

Famed Montreal conductor Véronique Lacroix leads the ensemble through a musical program that is every bit as beautiful, strange, and complex as the natural world that inspires it.

Schedule:
6:00pm – 6:30pm: What is Biodiversity? museum tour
7:00pm – 8:00pm: Emergent Behaviour concert
8:30pm – Museum closes

The museum will be open from 5pm – 8:30pm and admission is by donation.

A cash bar and light appetizers will be available.
