The Beaty Biodiversity Museum is a great place to take your class. Whether you teach elementary, secondary, or post-secondary, your lessons can be supported by our exhibits, activities, and programs. Learn about the onsite and digital opportunities available to your school at the museum, and the offerings we have for this year.
K-12 teachers and all other educators, including home-learning facilitators, librarians, early learning specialists, pre-service teachers, and post-secondary faculty, are welcome to attend this professional development day.

CEDAR Camp 2027 is an immersive educational program at the UBC Vancouver campus held in the last two weeks of July. CEDAR Camp inspires young Indigenous minds through hands-on STEM activities. The camp offers local Indigenous youth, aged 8-12, a chance to explore UBC’s vibrant research environment with interactive programming that blends culture and science. Campers engage in arts & crafts, outdoor activities, and learn about post-secondary opportunities close to home.

UBC Physics and Astronomy | Welcome to the Physics and Astronomy Department at UBC, one of the largest and most diverse physics and astronomy departments in Canada. We offer a wide range of research programs for students, from probing the origin of the universe to exploring the forces that govern our universe! UBC partners, activities, and tours are planned specifically to support educators through field trip ideas, classroom brainstorming, and inspiration around biodiversity. If you cannot attend the Open House, please know that teachers are always welcome to visit the museum with free general admission.
