By filling out a Google Form to sign up for a newsletter and/or enter a contest offered by the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, you consent to the secure storage of your personal information outside Canada (see server locations here) in accordance with the Google’s Terms of Service. By filling out a Qualtrics survey or form, you consent to the secure storage of your personal information within Canada. Qualtrics is the survey tool recommended by UBC, complies with the BC Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) because the survey data is kept secure and is stored and backed up in Canada.
Please note that only information that you choose to share is stored. The information that is stored on Emma’s, Qualtrics’ and/or Google’s servers is accessible only to authorized UBC Beaty Biodiversity Museum staff and will not be used for any other purpose than to which you have consented. Neither Emma, Qualtrics, nor Google has permission or authorization to use this information for their own purposes or to share it with anyone else.
