Explore fungi on UBC campus with Dr. Mary Berbee and her team!
The event will start with an info session about local fungi, we will then embark on an hour-long walk around campus in small groups led by Dr. Berbee and her team. We will meet back at the museum to have a look at all the fungi finds.
A reminder that rainfall impacts fungi populations! If the fall is moist, we’ll find a wealth of mushrooms. If dry, mushrooms may not appear but we’ll explore fungi that form lichens and plant pathogens. The event will run rain or shine, please dress for the weather!
