Drop in between 10:30 am – 1:00 pm the first Sunday of the month to enjoy special activities for families plus all of our regular museum programming, Raising Big Blue movie, museum tours, and more!

A FREE program for campus residents, these drop-in sessions are designed for children 5-12 years old accompanied by an adult (not suitable for preschool-aged children). All sessions will be held at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum, with experts from the Pacific Museum of Earth and around UBC making guest appearances.

Note: Sign-in at the admissions desk anytime after 10:00 am, all drop-in activities will run between 10:30 am and 1:00 pm. Be sure to plan and stick around for the Way Cool lecture starting at 1:00 pm!

Enter to win a Family Membership or a Free Birthday Party at the Beaty!

Participate in 4 of the UTOWN @ UBC Nature Clubs for a chance to win.

To participate, each child in attendance at any UTOWN @ UBC Nature Club on the first Sunday of the month will be given a passport containing 4 blank “what I learned today” sections. At each UTOWN @ UBC Nature Club event, draw or write what you learned that day in one of the sections. There is no right or wrong way to show what you’ve learned, so feel free to be as creative as you want! Before you leave, return your passport to a Beaty staff member or volunteer and we will keep it for you until you visit us next time – whether that is next month or in a few months.

A passport is complete once all four “what I learned today” sections are complete. Each passport requires the participant to attend any four UTOWN @ UBC Nature Clubs to complete it and receive an entry form. Once you complete the passport, you are entered to win 1 of 6 Birthday Parties or 1 of 12 Family Memberships. All UTOWN @ UBC Nature Club attendees are eligible to win!

Visit beatymuseum.ubc.ca/family-days-contest for this information and full contest rules. One passport per child.

All UNA, UTown, and Acadia Park members who pre-register for the Nature Club event will get double entries for each finished passport for more chances to win.
