‘ONLINE’ Beaty@Home Live: Weekly Museum Tour (May 12)

Learn something new at the Beaty Biodiversity Museum! Join our interpreters during a weekly virtual tour, focusing on a topic of their choice. It will always be a surprise! We may walk through the museum together, showcase specimens in the lab, and/or show some great museum video and photos. We will always do our best to answer your questions. Expect a wide variety of stories that may include museum history, evolution, ecology, local diversity, biodiversity basics, and UBC Biodiversity Research.

This virtual tour with a museum interpreter is recommended for visitors of all ages! If your child hasn’t used zoom before, or needs help with typing, occasional support from an adult or older sibling may be helpful. We are offering the tours live on zoom only, and they will not be recorded. You can watch previously recorded sessions on the Beaty Museum’s facebook page or YouTube Playlist.  We encourage participants to be on video and ask questions out loud, just like we were on a tour together!

Join all of the Beaty@Home: Weekly Tour sessions from anywhere around the world at 1:00pm PDT, each week will feature different stories and museum interpreters, sign up directly for each week on our calendar.  All you need is an internet connection. You can also call in over telephone, simply register for the Zoom link and the list of numbers.

 If you would like to contribute to the museum, you can pay what you can on the registration page. In addition, we appreciate any donations (tax-deductible), purchasing a membership, planning to visit in person, and sharing information about the museum with friends and family.
