Spring Break: Lichens at the Beaty

Join the Herbarium’s Curatorial Assistant, Spencer, to learn about lichens! Lichens are marvellous symbiotic organisms that can be found across the entire planet (even Antarctica). They make their own food, produce brightly coloured compounds for defence, and are connected to forests, deserts, birds, insects, caribou, and even people!
